Troubleshooting

A pipeline or log cannot be loaded

GitTree says why a run or log is missing: This repository’s host does not list … runs., This log has expired on …, This account may not read logs here., … offers no log from outside its own page., or that the provider is limiting requests. Most have one fix; some only open the provider’s page.

Before you start

  • GitTree Pro or a running trial: CI/CD runs are part of Pro.

Where to find it

  • The message in the CI/CD view or the Log tab.
ActionmacOSWindows and Linux
Refresh CI/CD⌥⇧RAlt+Shift+R

Steps

  1. Read the message

It names the reason and, where possible, the action: Reconnect … to see CI/CD runs…, Open on … or Try Again.

  2. Fix access

Reconnect the account, or ask a repository admin for the right to read logs.

  3. Get a fresh log

An expired or missing log comes back only by running the job again (Rerun or cancel a pipeline).

Expected result

The run and its log load, or you know they exist only on the provider’s page.

If something goes wrong

“Offline: reconnect to change runs.”

GitTree cannot reach the provider. You see the last runs it read; actions return when you are online.

Questions

Why does GitTree show a “Stored copy” of a log?

It shows the copy it read earlier, with its time, when the provider cannot give the log right now.
