Review Nour app actions

In Agent mode Nour can act in GitTree through its own commands: open views, stage, commit, fetch, push, and more. Each action belongs to a kind (Look around, Change you can undo, Risky) and follows your choice for it; anything risky always waits for your click on an approval card.

ProUpdated

Needs GitTree Pro or a running trial; Free keeps every local Git feature. Compare the plans.

Before you start

  • GitTree Pro or a running trial: Nour is part of Pro.
  • Let Nour act in GitTree on in Preferences › Nour (AI).

Where to find it

Steps

  1. Switch to Agent

Choose Agent under Mode: Nour can act within what you allow.

  2. Answer the approval card

When Nour wants to do something that asks first, a card says Nour wants to do this in GitTree, with what and why. Choose Allow once, Allow for this chat or Don’t allow. With no answer it is declined after the countdown.

  3. See what happened

Each action shows Running, Done, Failed, Not allowed or Declined, with the reason.

Expected result

Nour did only what its kinds allow and what you approved.

Kinds of action

What each kind covers
KindExamples
Look aroundOpen views, pages and files; read history and settings.
Make changes you can undoStage, commit, fetch, pull, push, stash, create branches and tags, change settings.
Risky changesDiscard, reset, force-push, delete branches, tags, remotes or stashes, merge or close pull requests. Always asks you first.

Pause Nour’s app actions stops them for now; Forget “Allow for this chat” makes Nour ask again. To change the choices, see Configure Nour privileges.

If something goes wrong

“You had a dialog open, so nothing ran.”

Close the dialog and ask Nour to try again.

Questions

Do these choices limit the agent’s own commands?

They cover what Nour does through GitTree. When Nour may do everything in a repository, as in a terminal, the agent’s own commands are governed by its CLI; the snapshot before each turn still applies.
