Troubleshooting

Nour cannot start or finish

Nour runs a coding-agent CLI on your computer, so most problems are the CLI’s: not installed, not signed in, no usage left, the model you set is unavailable, or it needs Node.js. GitTree also refuses to start a turn in a restricted repository, or when it cannot save the snapshot that makes the turn undoable.

FreeUpdated

Works in GitTree Free: every local Git feature, once you are signed in.

Before you start

  • GitTree Pro or a running trial: Nour is part of Pro.

Where to find it

  • The message in the chat; Preferences › Nour (AI) › Agents › Test.
ActionmacOSWindows and Linux
Open or close Nour⌘⇧SpaceCtrl+Shift+Space

Steps

  1. Read the message

Nour says what went wrong, such as … is not signed in., … has no usage left on your account right now. or … needs Node.js, which was not found.

  2. Test the agent

In Agents, press Test. Fix what it reports: sign in to the CLI, update it, choose another model, or install Node.js.

  3. Use another agent

Choose another agent, or put a second one in the Automatic selection order so Nour can hand over.

Expected result

Nour answers again with an agent that works on this computer.

If something goes wrong

“Nour could not save a snapshot because the repository has unresolved conflicts”

Resolve the conflicts first, or ask in read-only mode.

“No output from … for … seconds. Nour stopped it.”

The agent went quiet. Ask again, or test it in Nour settings.

Questions

Why does Nour open a terminal?

When the agent is not signed in, Nour can open the terminal with its sign-in command; press Enter there and log in to your AI provider.
