Refund and cancellation policy
Last updated: October 2026
GitTree sells Pro and Pro for teams as periods paid in advance: one month, or twelve months when yearly purchases are offered. Nothing renews automatically, so there is never a future charge to stop. This page explains how cancelling works and when a payment can be refunded.
Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from your account on this website: the Subscription page for a personal plan, or the organization’s Billing page for an organization (owners and administrators only). The Free plan never needs cancelling.
Cancelling keeps the access you have already paid for until the end of the current period; then the plan ends and GitTree returns to the Free plan. A paid period scheduled to begin after a trial still begins. A free or fully discounted period that has not started yet is dropped. We confirm every cancellation by e-mail, and you can resume the subscription until the period ends.
Requesting a refund
A refund can be requested strictly within 24 hours after a successful payment, and only after the subscription has been cancelled. For a period scheduled to begin after a trial, the 24 hours count from the payment, not from the start of the period.
To request one, cancel first, then choose Request a refund on the same page and give a short reason. Only the account that paid can request it; for an organization, an owner or administrator.
GitTree support reviews each request and refunds the full amount manually through our payment provider, Paymob, to the card or wallet you paid with, in the currency it was charged in. The result appears in your account and is sent to you by e-mail. An accepted full refund ends the purchased period, or removes the added organization seats, right away. Your bank may take longer than 24 hours to post the money.
Resuming the subscription before the refund is confirmed withdraws the request.
When no refund is available
After the 24-hour window a payment is not refundable, but the period you paid for stays active until its end. Free trials, free periods and 100% discounts involve no payment, so there is nothing to refund. A refund does not give back a free trial that was already used.
Your legal rights
Any mandatory rights you have under the consumer protection law that applies to you remain unaffected by this policy.
