Request an eligible refund
A refund can be requested only within 24 hours of a successful payment, and only after the subscription is cancelled. While a payment is eligible, Request a refund shows when it is Available until. GitTree support processes refunds manually through the payment provider; your bank may take longer to post the money. The full rule is on the refund policy page.
Done on gittree.app with your GitTree account, the same one you sign in to the app with.
On this page
Before you start
- A successful payment made less than 24 hours ago. For an organization, you are its owner or admin.
Where to find it
- Dashboard › Subscription (or the organization’s Billing) › Refund.
Steps
Start the request
Under Refund, press Request a refund.
Cancel first
Step 1 cancels the subscription if it is still running: press Cancel subscription and confirm Yes, cancel subscription. Go back is selected first.
Give a reason
Step 2: write Why are you asking for a refund? (5 to 500 characters) and press Send refund request.
Follow the result
The page shows Refund request pending, then Refund confirmed or Refund request declined with support’s reason.
Expected result
Your request is with GitTree support, and its status shows on your account and receipt.
Changing your mind
Resuming the subscription while the request is pending withdraws it, and you will not be refunded. Your access continues until the refund is confirmed or the paid period ends, whichever comes first.
If something goes wrong
“The 24 hours after this payment have passed, so it can no longer be refunded here.”
The window has closed. Open a support ticket if you think something went wrong with the payment.
“Cancel the subscription first, then request the refund.”
Complete step 1, then send the request again.
