Sign-in did not return to the right place
Sign-in remembers where you were going and brings you back after it. When it cannot finish, it says why: it was cancelled, took too long and expired, the link was already used, or the provider is unavailable. Start again from the page you wanted; a desktop sign-in starts again from the app.
Done on gittree.app with your GitTree account, the same one you sign in to the app with.
On this page
Before you start
- Note the message the sign-in page showed.
Where to find it
- The Sign-in did not complete page.
Steps
Read the reason
Such as “This sign-in link is no longer valid, for example because it was already used.” or “This sign-in took too long and has expired.”
Start again from the page you wanted
Press Back to sign in, or open the page you were going to (an invitation, the checkout, a ticket) and sign in from there so you return to it.
For the desktop app
Start signing in again from the app. If the browser does not open the app, use the authentication code (Sign in from the desktop app).
Expected result
You are signed in on the page you meant.
If something goes wrong
Sign-in keeps failing in this browser
Allow cookies and storage for gittree.app, close other tabs with an unfinished sign-in, and try once more.
Questions
Why did a link I opened twice stop working?
Each sign-in link works once, so a link already used, or an earlier attempt, is refused.
